Mini Ramps – The Good, The bad, The ugly!
August 21st, 2009
For anyone who has ever thought of building a mini-ramp in their backyard, here is a collection of videos demonstrating the Good the Bad and the Ugly.
This first one isn’t strictly a video i guess… but i just love the way these guys kept adding to it. Obviously i have never skated it, but a metal finish and a pool-style corner with concrete coping, nuff-said, check it out.
This is a Local ramp to us, Gosport area – known as Unit 19. Benefits hugely from being inside. This ramp i have skated and its lush.. so well made. I believe that its currently having some mods done to it as well? Look forward to seeing that!
The last is a less than perfect build, but super fun! Belonging to Shepherd, in his garden, its been re-built a fair few times.. plenty of holes etc.

This is a trailer for the Portsmouth Skate-u-mentary from pompey skater/filmer, Rob Crawford. You can check rob and his stylish edits out at his YouTube Channel or view his blog at sixfiftyseven.co.uk/
657 is focused around the coming together of the two ‘rival’ cities, Portsmouth and Southampton, focusing on skaters Jak Tonge, Joe Paget, Adam Keys and Curtis Jarman – All hugely talented South-coast skateboarders.
Due out this year, (fingers crossed) 6:57 should turn heads, pushing the bar for the South Coast. Keep your eyes peeled for Jak Tonge, recently featured in this months ‘First Light’ section in Sidewalk Magazine
